TUMORS: BRAIN AND SPINAL CORD (Primary or metastatic) including pituitary tumors, brainstem, skull and skull base, posterior fossa as well as face, head, and orbit
FACIAL PAIN, FACIAL TIC (Trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm, glossopharyngeal neuralgia)
VASCULAR MALFORMATIONS (Surgical treatment of aneurysms, AVMs, and cavernous malformations)

CRANIAL PROCEDURES COMMONLY PERFORMED INCLUDE:
CRANIOTOMY - Standard Open (multiple approaches for resection of brain tumors, surgical treatment of aneurysms, evacuation of intra-cerebral hematomas and many other conditions)
CRANIOTOMY - Minimally Invasive (Dr. Marsella was the first neurosurgeon in AZ to use the Nico Brainpath System in 2015). See the corresponding link: www.niconeuro.com

(Example: Occipital Craniectomy for Chiari I malformation; requires a dural patch.
Craniectomy for acute treatment of ischemic CVA)
STEREOTACTIC RADIOSURGERY - In addition to all of the surgical procedures described above, Dr. Marsella can provide stereotactic radiosurgery as adjunct to the management for many of the above listed conditions (Brain tumors, AVMs, Trigeminal Neuralgia)
